FAQ's

This page will list Questions and Answers received during the Call that may be relevant to all artists or submissions.  Please check back here regularly for NEW questions that may be asked during the open Call.  You may revise your Call submission as many times as desired until the Deadline.

Q. What is the purpose of this Call For Artists?
A. This Call For Artists is described in depth on the Overview and Terms and Conditions page.

Q. I'm using a Mac and Safari browser, and after I register I cannot reach the profile or submission pages.
A. There may be security, cookie or other browser settings interfering. We suggest using Chroe browser, or using a Windows PC.

Q. How long are the Grand Prze awards/trips?
A. Four artists will be awarded Grand Prizes, which will now be 6 nights / 8 days (including travel).  Artists will be scheduled for live Hankyu Hawaii Fair participation during either July 8-12 or July 15-19.

Q. Are non-paint mediums (pencil, sketches, mixed media) acceptable?
A. Yes.

Q. How many mages may I submit?
A. You can submit (attach) up to 7 files.

Q. Can I submit wearables or textiles?
A. Sorry, textiles are not part of this Call.

Q. Can I submit art older than 2 years old, if it has not been displayed publicly?
A. We are looking for "current/fresh/new" art / photography, so please only submit art that was created less than 2 years ago.
